Pennsylvania Vacation day 3 & 4

Day 3 Tuesday June 18
Day 3 we stuck around the farm and enjoyed the things there are here to do!  I took a lot of the kids on a long hike through the fields and trails.  Of course, as usual the trampoline was a hit as well.  We enjoyed a great spaghetti supper with blueberry muffins for dessert!  After dinner Aunt Missy did Jayna's nails with gel over the nail in Jayna's choice colors: All sparkly pink with one ruby red on each hand.

Day 4 Wednesday June 19
Today was a special day that knocked off a bucket list item!  We went to the local amusement park in Altoona, PA where I grew up.  I used to love Lakemont.  It isn't quite as amazing as I remember as some of the rides have been removed, but for $5 can you really go wrong?  The kids rode every ride once and then we went to the water slides and pool side of the park. Jayna and Will rode their first real roller coaster!  Jayna had been on a mini roller coaster last year at the beach.  We did my favorite upside down roller coaster and another favorite Round up.  Unfortunately the Mad Mouse Anthony was anxious to ride had been removed.  The wooden roller coaster, Leap the Dips had been restored since I had last visited the park about 12 years ago.  It is the oldest remaining operating wooden coaster.  Supper was quick and easy sandwiches and chips with Dunkin' Donuts for dessert.
