National Cow Day

One of our favorite days of the year is National Cow Day.  That is the day of the year when if you dress like a cow at Chick Fil A, you will receive free food!  Partial costumes get you an entree whereas head to hoof gets you a combo meal!

We purchased t-shirts for $8, hats for $3 and tablecloths for $3.  We had the other art supplies at home from previous cow days or art projects:
yarn, string, styrofoam cups, foil, paint, felt and hot glue
Alonza, Anthony's great buddy from the street over, as is rather typical joined us for a few days and got to be in on the cow celebrations!

Finished hat complete with googly eyes and felt ears
Tails made up of 15 pieces of yarn and Jayna's tied with a ribbon

I also made the kids "pants" using magic markers and disposable white table clothes and hot gluing it where required.  I made myself a skirt.  I made cowbells out of styrofoam cups, string and foil.

We had breakfast at 9:30am at the CFA drive thru.  The kids all got Chicken biscuit meals and all three ate the chicken and not the biscuit.  I had the chicken minis again without the biscuit part.

Breakfast

After breakfast we went to art classes at Micheal's.  We made a nutcracker type soldier, ironed bead art and origami.  Then we met up with Grandma, Poppy and neighbor Ann at the playground CFA for lunch.  It was fulllll of cows :-)  We circled the lot multiple times to find a parking spot.  Ms. Ann wanted some nuggets to take home so after she ate her meal, we leant her a hat and cowbell for some free nuggets.

We had a relaxing evening and afternoon.  I even got to babysit the most sweet little guy while his momma and sisters went to the movies.  We took a walk, did hand and foot art, chatted and he briefly napped.  Then it was time for our supper run to CFA!

We had a fun filled cower-ific day together!  And we enjoyed way too  much fattening delicious food-- over $60 worth of it, which made our $14 costumes very worth it!
