Percival's Island Bike Trail

We knocked another thing off our LOCAL summer 2013 bucket list this week, OK actually 2!  We took our bikes downtown and rode on the bike trail.  We also took our parks and rec photos!  July is National Parks & Recreation Month.  To celebrate our loacl Parks and Recs created a template and then asked us to take our picture with our sign saying what we love most about our local Parks and Rec.  You Can do it too if you are local.  Just go here and follow these directions: Lynchburg Parks and Rec

Anthony's favorite thing about Lynchburg Parks and Rec is the "Miller Park Pool"
Jayna's favorite thing about Lynchburg Parks and Rec is "Fairview Extreme Camp with Mr Gary, Kaleb, Eric and Alan and Mrs. Jamey"
My favorite thing about Lynchburg Parks and Rec is "Endless affordable healthy fun options for both Family Fun times together and individual time spent in nature"

We rode bikes about 3 miles on the trail.  The kids enjoyed the flat not so hilly terrain. That is a big change from our neighborhood.  It was there about 100 degrees so we totally loved the splash pad after our ride!
