4 Generations

We got to enjoy a spur of the moment (basically) trip to West Virginia on Sunday after church to see my grandparents.  Dad drove.  Joe, the kidlets and I were along for the ride.  We got there about 6:20pm.  He were entirely spoiled by Papa's world famous grilling...

along side with Nana's baked mac and cheese, baked taters, salad complete with home made dressings, home made bread toasted in the oven, fresh cantelopue and an exquisite fruit salad.  Yes, we are talking 10 star meal!  Then to top it off Nana has blackberry cobbler and chocolate banana cake with white chocolate icing and black raspberry ice cream or boring vanillas for the boring people.  Man I could totally gobble up some more cake now that I mentioned and and am looking at it again!
Then the kids played with their four legged cousin Uncle Alden brought over.... Gertie was great fun and eventually they tired her out enough for her to pose with them in a picture.  The kids always enjoy the outdoor fun there, as did we when we were kidlets at Nana and Papa's.  Jayna enjoyed building her own drum set and picking flowers.  Anthony was more into running around, playing football and even tried out his sister's hula for a bit.  After dinner, Amanda had to fill in for Tricia with me and Aunt Chris replaced Marko (our typical dish washing team is Marko, Trish and me and Amanda and Aunt Chris help with prep).  All the dishes got done and put away properly, so fear not, all was under control :-)

Dad helped Nan out by doing her landscaping most the morning on Monday.  For lunch, we had my favorite meal--- BREAKFAST.  True story there is nothing better than eating breakfast foods for every meal except eating NANA'S breakfast for any meal.  We had made from scratch pancakes, bacon and sausage, fresh canteloup, and home made from Idaho fried potatoes.  I enjoyed mine with both Orange juice and hot tea with plenty of sugar and milk.

We left Nana and Papa's about 4pm.  But before we left town we had to check out Aunt Chris's exquisite preschool!  They were preparing for their end of the year Circus Performance, scheduled for the following day.
