The missing days

Yep, ran out of time, energy or motivation... either way, too far behind on blogging to catch up so just a recap post of the last three weeks!

21st:  Jayna's class took their first field trip-- to Layman's farm.  I was totally bummed I couldn't go but they leave too early on their fieldtrip and I was doing crossing guard.  The TOTALLY awesome part of it, her teacher texted me a picture at Jayna's request.  That has certainly never happened before!
The plus side of not going, I got to enjoy a belated birthday at Robin Alexander's--- chicken parm goodness!  I was spoiled this week with lots of baby Tristan time!  I had him from 5 until 11.  We went to Ant's football practice.  His coaches spoiled the kids with pizza, ice cream and a fun game of kids vs parents.  The down side of the day was certainly working third shift- boosh!  I dropped sweet boy off with Robbie at 5 til 11 on my way to work.

22nd:  Today was interesting.  I grabbed a quick nap for about 90 minutes between crossing guard and volunteer-subsitute teaching at the kids school.  I was a Kindy sub for the afternoon, lunch (11) til 3, so 4 hours. Once again we carbon-copied the evening schedule, I had sweet boy Tristan, football practice and then stinkin' work on 90 mins of sleep.

23rd: Today was an excessively relaxed day to catch up on some sleep.  The only "excitement" I had was my weekly chiropractor appointment.... and then working third shift again.... so due to our boring day I will leave you with some "selfies" I found on the camera--- and laughed at the Mini-Mark ;-) (Yes I mean Mark as in Uncle Mark... minus a bathroom mirror that is)

24th- I grabbed a nap in between morn and afternoon crossing guard.  The kids had no school.  It was parent teacher conference day.  I met with Ms. Jeannie first and then Mrs. Kelly.  It was by far more thorough than city school conferences.  I fully "get" they don't have as many kids/parents but it was completely different.  The reports were very good.  J's downfall as expected was reading mostly.  Ant's also as expected was he needs to improve on handwriting.  I got my little man again and woohoo no third shift means it was a good shift hah!

25th- It was my typical Friday, work, volunteer at school and work again.  Tonight Jayna went with Grandma, Nana Jan and her cousin Kierra to a concert.  Afterwards she had a sleepover with Kierra. I had little man and the girls until third shift.  Little Will stayed at our house for the night to keep Anthony company.

26th- Today was the last day of soccer!  We had a great season- as in newly gained skills, fun and a good Christian based league.... unfortunately it wasn't exactly a scoring winning season, just winning in a different way!  I grabbed a nap after soccer until time for a trunk or treat up the street.  Joyce and her kidlets went with Ant and me.  Jayna went to scaremarewith Kierra, another buddy Gabbi, Kierra's mom and sister.

27th- After working 3rd shift we headed to church. We had to get the kids there a bit early because they would be singing in the big service.  They Ant was actually singing I was shocked.  Of course J missed it since she was still at her sleep over. We grabbed a quick lunch afterwards before the Fall Festival at the church up the street.  Again we brought Joyce's gang with us and Mom dropped Jayna off with me so she could go too!  Afterwards I met up with Marko to bring him supplies to help do some wiring in Jayna's classroom!

28th- Today I had no crossing guard-- awkward feeling, but nice!  I took the kids to school and volunteered at the school over lunch/recess.  After school we had Anthony's final football game.  They got to play at Liberty University's William's Stadium and for 8-11 year olds that IS a big deal!

29th- Today after crossing guard I went to a former customer's house and helped do some cleaning.  Hi wife broke her ankle so now I go weekly to help with the cleaning-- dusting, vacum, scrubbing, whatever they need help with!

30th- Again I helped clean at George and Phyliss's and afterwards went to the kids school to help out with Kindy, 1st and 2nd while the teachers had a meeting with the pre-k.

31st- Today was a house cleaning day- no time to volunteer!  Tonight we hosted Halloween at our house with pizza, koolaid and tea!  There were 30 of us trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.  I DO NOT miss working at BK because unfortunately all the good of it came with more bad.  I do miss the friends I've made there (employees) over the years so this is my annual attempt at reconnecting.  Almost everyone has now left BK has new work schedules and new living arrangements so meeting often isn't realistic but this is always fun!

1st- I attempted to join in at the kids school's breakfast festivities.  They serve breakfast 7:30-8:30 the first Friday of each month.  Unfortunately I can only stay 15 minutes and usually I work the night before so this was my first time able to drop in but it wasn't ready in time.  There it is 1 of only 2 disappointments in my crossing guard job-- no first Friday breakfasts and limited field trips.  I volunteered at both Sheffield and Doss, as is typical of my Fridays!  We had a sleepover weekend here! Anthony's two best friends Will and Alonza slept over and my nieces Angela and Shania stayed.  Of course being Friday I had Tristan for 5 hours before third shift.

2nd- Oh sweet sleep!!  I got to come straight home and sleep after third shift from 10ish-3ish!  It was GREAT, although rare.  I had Tristan for a few hours so Brandy and Robbie could go out for their 8th wedding anniversary.  Angela and I worked on her solar system science project.  All the kids pretty much joined in for some arts and crafts since the supplies were already out for the project.  Will and Jayna were sound asleep, they obviously didn't sleep long the night before having too much sleepover fun!  Then it was time for third shift AGAIN!
Yes our solar system IS made of Christmas balls and a balloon for the sun!  YES i may be too cheap because styrofoam is way too expensive for me!

3rd-  Church this morning!  OF COURSE it was time change and my replacement was LATE- 45 minutes.  We did MAGIC to get all the kids up ready and out the door.  Usually my two sta at Grandma and Poppy's Sat night for church Sundays but with friends over I had not 2 but SIX kids to get up and ready in 10 minutes literally--- we have to be at church by 9:15, but I volunteer and my job starts at 9 usually.... today it started at 9:15 ;-) I also got called into work Sunday night--- on a whopping hour of sleep after putting the kids to bed :-/

4th- I remember NOTHING about this day... that's right because it was dedicated as a sleep catch up day!  I Worked third, crossing guard and napped off and all ALL DAY until crossing guard at 3... and still I remember NOTHING special that afternoon or evening either... total slacker I guess it was an extra-lazy day...

5th- It's voting day so city school had no school.  I took J and A with me to vote before school.  It's important to teach them how important voting is!!  There was no wait and we got to school a tad too early so the kidlets choose to have "breakfast" at sheetz... you know Tony got hotdogs and Jayna mac and cheese... so breakfasty!  It was an easy relaxed night at home but disappointing seeing the wrong less godly candidates win Governor and Lt. Gov.  Wisely ALL the local races-- delegates, sheriff, etc were won by the more godly options.  I helped mom run all her errands today too!  Sam's, Walmart, her mechanic, the music store and OF COURSE a doughnut too!
6th- I did crossing guard and had my chiro appointment.  Then I headed to George and Phyliss's to do my weekly cleaning of their home.

7th- Crossing guard, volunteered at Desmond Doss, even learned to play 4 square with some sweet 3rd and 4th graders over an extended long recess while most the students were practicing for Education Sabbath (singing at church performance is Saturday).  The kids had cross country after school and then we headed to joyce's to get Joyce, Diamond, Will and Tabi for Adventure Club.  Tonight we did our sand art award, got our sashes with our awards attached.  The Busy Bees (1st and 2nd grade) also told us the story of creation using a felt board.  It's the first Thursday of the month-- time to work 3rd shift.

8th- I did my morning volunteering at Sheffield as usual after crossing guard, but not before a call to pick up one of Joyce's grandkids from school for suspected pink eye.  After Sheffield volunteering I went to Little Caesar's to get pizza since it was Casual Friday/Pizza day!  I volunteered over lunch and recess and then grabbed a 40 minute nap in the car waiting for them to get out of school at 2.  I did crossing guard and grabbed a 45 min nap before I got my Godson Tristan and the girls for the evening.  Cuddle bug was extra smiley and sweet!  He even took an hour nap with me before we had to go take him to his mommy and I was headed to third shift!

9th-- A special blog coming soon just for this!!
